ITC, ICICI Bank, Ambuja Cements to be watched

ITC's consolidated net profit declined 25.3% to Rs 2567.07 crore on 17.22% decline in net sales to Rs 10478.46 crore in Q1 June 2020 over Q1 June 2019. The company has considered the possible effects that may arise out of the still unfolding COVID-19 pandemic on the carrying amounts of property, plant & equipment, intangible assets, investments, inventories, trade receivables, etc. Based on the current estimates, the company does not expect any significant impact on such carrying values.

ICICI Bank's net profit rose 36.22% to Rs 2,599.15 crore on 21.79% rise in total income to Rs 26,069.95 crore in Q1 June 2020 over Q1 June 2019.

Ambuja Cements' consolidated net profit declined 26.61% to Rs 457.14 crore on 33.78% decline in total income to Rs 4,757.08 crore in Q2 June 2020 over Q2 June 2019.

JSW Steel reported consolidated net loss of Rs 561 crore in Q1 June 2020 as compared to net profit of Rs 1,028 crore in Q1 June 2019. Total income fell 40.29% to Rs 11,914 crore in Q1 June 2020 over Q1 June 2019.

Chennai Petroleum Corporation reported consolidated net profit of Rs 269.90 crore in Q1 June 2020 as compared to net loss of Rs 229.31 crore in Q1 June 2019. Total income fell 71% to Rs 2,948.58 crore in Q1 June 2020 over Q1 June 2019.

Cipla announced that it has been granted regulatory approval by the Drug Controller General of India (DCGI) for the launch of Favipiravir in the country under the brand name Ciplenza. The accelerated approval for manufacturing and marketing of the drug is aimed at meeting the urgent and unmet medical need for COVID-19 treatment options in the country through restricted emergency use.

IndusInd Bank said that the meeting of the board of directors of the bank is scheduled on 28 July 2020 to consider fund raising by way of issue of equity shares on a preferential basis.

Shares issued in the follow-on public offer by Yes Bank will be listed on the bourses today, July 27. The final issue price has been fixed at Rs 12 per share. Yes Bank raised around Rs 14,270 crore through its FPO during July 15-17.

Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tech Mahindra will announce its April-June their quarterly results today, 27 July 2020.

InterGlobe Aviation said that the meeting of the board of directors of the company is scheduled on 30 July 2020, inter alia, to consider and approve raising of funds through issue of equity shares, and/or foreign currency convertible bonds ('FCCB'), and/or non-convertible debentures, and/or any other eligible instruments or securities representing equity shares or convertible into or exchangeable for equity shares, through qualified institutions placement, rights issue, FCCB issuance, or such other permissible mode or combination thereof.
